CGIA Project #2 – stop construction.

Try number one & try number two & revision after critique.

I found myself thinking hard about the environmental issues around Vancouver that concerned me the most. It was very difficult for me to decide on one until I came back to White Rock for the Olympic break — only to discover that more of the gorgeous trees & forests that I had grown up in as a child are disappearing. It’s very hard for me to witness and something that I know will continue to bother me in the future.
This realization allowed me to come up with my idea for the illustrator project. I wanted to create a powerful image by showing a city landscape with roots viciously growing beneath it – trying to escape.
We are blessed with so much nature and areas that are rich with shades of green and wildlife, yet it seems like every day there is a new chunk of it being taken   away from us and a highrise being built in it’s replacement.

Don’t cut them, plant them.
Limit construction & help to keep our city green.
